I’m Alison, the creator of Learning At The Primary Pond and a certified Reading and Dyslexia Specialist. From my years of working with elementary students, I’ve seen how difficult it can be to get kids reading “simple” CVC words. What are CVC words?
CVC words are the 3 letter words that are the first taught to children who are learning to read in English. “CVC” stands for Consonant, Vowel, Consonant, such as in the word “sun.”
Does this include absolutely everything I need to teach CVC words?
Yes! This bundle is comprehensive and includes a wealth of materials, since it takes some children lots and lots of practice to master CVC words.
Is this bundle for parents or educators?
Both! It’s written for educators but is easy for parents to use without having to modify anything. The bundle is also great for reading tutors.
Is this for whole group, small group, or 1:1 instruction?

Do students need to know all their letter sounds before starting this bundle?
No, but they should know at least half of their letter sounds. Also, since this bundle reviews but doesn’t directly teach letter sounds, you will still need to provide direct instruction in the letter sounds in addition to using this pack.
What age range of kids is this bundle for?
It can be used with kids ages 4 through 10. “Younger looking” materials include more “mature looking” alternatives. However, readiness is more important than a child's age. Students who know most of their letter sounds will be the most successful with the lessons.
Can this be used for kids who are struggling with reading?
Yes! This bundle is designed to be easily customized to your students’ needs. Your pacing depends entirely on how students are progressing.
